Deep South WA, Feb ‘25 (#14 in series: scarlet robin, bathing)

As you can see, at 9.26 am on 09 February 2025, this post’s hero was well-wetted.

As his appearance makes evident, he is a male.

His plumage’s recently-concluded breeding season “magnificence” is fading, but not altogether gone.

Scarlet robins live in Australia’s southern forests and woodlands, Tasmania included.

The Northern Territory is the only Australian place with a parliament that entirely lacks their presence.

Scarlet robins mostly eat spiders, insects and insect larvae.

The pictured individual is the only one I have so far seen in WA, this year.
