“Landscape” view/ much closer view (#9B in series: Ritz & chips at Betty’s Jetty)

This post’s “much closer view” was also taken from the western side of Perth’s Elizabeth Quay, not many footsteps from where ferries depart for South Perth, or return from there.

For “9A” in this series I had looked east, across the Quay’s artificial inlet.

For “9B”, I turned around 180 degrees.

The western side of “Betty’s Jetty” is less “glamorous”/ “upmarket” than the eastern side.

Persons enjoying an eye-wateringly expensive “fine dining” experience at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel’s restaurant may find themselves looking straight across the to the fish’n’ chipper.

Meanwhile, patrons of the more modest “”west side” establishment (pictured above) enjoy a fine view of the opposite side’s luxury hotel and staggeringly-pricey apartments…( & of some “landmark buildings” that pre-date Elizabeth Quay. One of them recently made it into a list of “the 100 most boring global tourism attractions.” Ring any bells?)

As you can see, a reverse, “mirror image” view of said hotel & apartments is usually visible, immediately above the fish cafe.

”9A” and “9B” images were both taken with my IPad on afternoon of 24 April 2024.
