…what does he/it look like?
The featured image offers a Tibetan Plateau answer.
In the White House – depending on one’s particular perspective – the result is “entirely different”, or, in essence, “much the same”…
Five days ago – before a result had been declared – I wrote the following words in a letter to friends:
I love the (probable) irony of Trump’s misrepresentation of postal voting coming back to bite him. It looks like he “brilliantly” succeeded in discouraging his supporters from voting early. The postal/early vote count is, therefore, what is likely to send the Donald down the chute. The postal/early votes that will do that will be those unambiguously received by Election Day; my guess is that all the bluster and hooey about allegedly “late” and allegedly “fraudulent” votes will soon evaporate into self-evident irrelevance.
I also don’t really buy the notion that Trump will be the great wrecker, still, for at least 4-8 years to come – in opposition, and/or as 2nd term President in four years time.
Yes, he doubtless will grant himself assorted Presidential pardons.
However, he can only do that in relation to federal offences.
I am sure that the New York State prosecutor has a raft of state charges ready to file as soon as Trump is out of the White House. And I’d be unsurprised if other states and cities – and private individuals, aggrieved businesses et al – also have prosecutors’ files, “ready to go”.
A US President cannot render himself immune from future civil cases against him.
Trump’s comeuppance is, I think, not so very far away.
I hope I’m not dead-wrong.
Whatever, Trump’s dreadful legacy is a monumental “achievement”, and I fear that much of it will prove enduring.
Developments since November 5 have not changed my view.
The White House’s formerly-dominant ram may not yet accept reality; however, he is already-dead, electorally.
This post’s photos (copyright Doug Spencer) were taken on the Tibetan Plateau in October 2019; both feature the Tibetan subspecies of Argali, Ovis ammon.
Argali – Central Asia’s mountain sheep – are our world’s largest wild sheep.
The size of the recently-deceased individual’s horns suggests that he was a very large mature-age ram.
Had I encountered him just a few weeks earlier, he may well have resembled Trump’s Tibetan Plateau avatar, still in action – bullying all other males and imposing himself on any “available” females.
For an Argali ram, the fight that ends his “dominant” status can literally prove fatal.

Bravo, Doug. Brilliant. Xx. Hope to be able to catch up this Christmas.
Good one Doug and great to see the David Rowe cartoon. Now we see that 70% of surveyed Republican voters believe Trump’s assertion that the election was fraudulent and stolen. Extraordinary! But then the same people probably believe that Covid19 will disappear any time soon.
Oh yes David Rowe, excellent!
Thanks Doug for the concert tip, we were really lucky to be there.
