In marked contrast to most eastern Australian cities, Perth is enjoying a “proper” winter in 2018.
More than 150 mm fell here in July. As I type, heavy rain is falling, and it just might be snowing on Bluff Knoll, 400 ks southeast of here.

However, some healthy trees’ skin-shedding is a much more spectacular (and beautiful) process than is any healthy human’s.
One CommentTheir makers are almost blind. They precisely tune their webs, via which they “see” their “world”, most especially their potential prey, potential mates and potential threats.

Comments closedStand atop its higher hills/dunes and you see that suburbia surrounds this bush “island”. Down in its “valleys”, however, your eyes certainly don’t tell you that Bold Park is within an urban area of more than two million people, and that the CBD is only minutes away.
